Arak
Arak was found in the 8th century with the invention of the alembic, which allowed for the distillation of alcohol. Original arak is made by fermenting grape into wine, distilling the wine more than one time adding anise seed during the last distilling. Traditionally, arak is often aged in clay amphorae.
