Arak
Arak was first created in the 8th century with the invention of the alembic, which made alcohol distillation possible. Authentic Arak is made by fermenting grapes into wine, then distilling the wine multiple times, with anise seeds added during the final distillation. Traditionally, Arak is often aged in clay amphorae.
